The ACEN Stubbo Project faced significant logistical hurdles due to vessels being delayed and terminals suffering labour protests. This situation posed a risk of incurring delays and extra charges, alongside the complication of an overwhelmed warehouse that couldn’t receive all containers simultaneously.
To navigate these challenges, ILS Warehousing implemented a strategic approach by deploying additional resources to ensure the timely collection of containers from the wharf, avoiding delays or extra charges. We managed the situation adeptly by holding a substantial number of containers in our yard, which allowed for a steady and efficient release of goods to the warehouse as capacity permitted.
This proactive and resourceful solution resulted in saving the client significant costs associated with delays and extra charges. Despite the logistical nightmares, all freight was delivered on schedule, demonstrating our capability to manage and mitigate unforeseen challenges effectively. Over the course of this six-month project, involving more than 660 containers, our efforts ensured uninterrupted operations and client satisfaction.
